Where Should Victoria's New E-Bike Share Parking Zones Go?

Official title: Bike Share Parking Zones

Closed Community Planning Housing & Communities Transportation
Victoria is launching an e-bike share system where you can grab an electric bike from one parking zone and drop it off at another. The city asked residents to help decide where these parking zones should be located across the city. This consultation has now closed.

Why This Matters

Live or work in Victoria? This affects how easy it'll be to grab an e-bike near you. Good parking zone placement means bike share actually works for your daily trips. Bad placement means the bikes are never where you need them.

What Could Change

Parking zones will be installed approximately every two to three blocks across Victoria, each about the size of one car parking space. Locations will be near the city's All Ages and Abilities bike routes and key destinations.

Key Issues

  • Where should bike share parking zones be located across Victoria?
  • Which destinations and routes should have priority access to e-bikes?

What Happened

The city collected feedback through an interactive map where residents indicated where they'd like to grab or drop off e-bikes. An engagement summary document is now available detailing the results.
