Ward 9 and Marlborough Park Pathway and Bikeway Connections
Official title: Calgary's Pathway and Bikeway Network
Calgary is planning new pathways and bikeways connecting several east Calgary communities including Marlborough Park, Dover, Forest Heights, and Erin Woods. The project has completed two phases of public input and a third phase opens in February 2026.
Why This Matters
Live in east Calgary? Bike to work or school? This project could add safer routes through your neighbourhood. New pathways mean easier connections between communities—whether you're commuting, exercising, or just getting around without a car.
What Could Change
New dedicated pathways and bikeways could be built connecting Marlborough Park, Southview, Dover, Forest Heights, Penbrooke Meadows, Albert Park Radisson Heights, Erin Woods, and Forest Lawn. Street designs may change to accommodate bike lanes or shared pathways.
Key Issues
- Where should new pathway and bikeway routes be located?
- How can connections between east Calgary communities be improved?
- What safety and accessibility features are needed?
How to Participate
