Shakespeare Drive Road and Pipe Reconstruction
Official title: Shakespeare Drive Reconstruction
The City of Waterloo plans to dig up Shakespeare Drive to replace aging water mains, sewers, and the road itself. Everything from sidewalks to curbs to asphalt gets rebuilt. Water and sewer connections to individual properties will also be replaced up to the property line.
Why This Matters
Live on Shakespeare Drive or nearby? Expect construction disruption, but you'll get brand new infrastructure. Your water service connection gets replaced for free up to your property line. This is your chance to flag concerns before work begins.
What Could Change
The entire road section from Browning Place to the cul-de-sac will be torn up and rebuilt. New watermains and sewers will replace the aging pipes. Construction timing and traffic detours will be determined based on project planning.
