Ottawa Youth Consultations: What Does Your City Need?

Closed Policy & Studies Education Housing & Communities
Ottawa asked young people aged 15-25 what their city really needs. Four youth-led consultation events gathered ideas about programs, spaces, and services for young people. The feedback will shape city policies and a 2026 action plan.

Why This Matters

Are you between 15 and 25 in Ottawa? This was your chance to shape what the city builds for young people. The ideas gathered will influence real programs and services. A Youth Forum on November 24 will turn these ideas into action.

What Could Change

The City could create new youth programs, spaces, and services based on what young people asked for. A collaborative action plan for youth social development will be developed in 2026. City policies may be updated to better reflect youth priorities.

Key Issues

  • What matters most to young people in their communities?
  • What programs, spaces, and services do youth need?
  • How can Ottawa become more inclusive, creative, and supportive for youth?

How to Participate

  1. The youth consultations have ended. Four events were held in fall 2025 where young people shared their ideas.
  2. Join the Youth Forum on November 24, 2025 to see the results and help shape next steps. Registration required.
