Why This Matters
Walk or bike in these neighbourhoods? This project could make your daily trips safer. Data shows these areas had more injury collisions between 2017 and 2021. Parents trying to get kids to school safely should pay attention. Better connections also mean easier access to transit and local services.
What Could Change
New pathways and protected bike lanes could be built across nine communities. Missing connections in the network would be filled in. Street designs may change to reduce conflicts between cars, bikes, and pedestrians. Construction timelines and budgets will be confirmed in early 2026.

What Happened
Phase 2 engagement ran from June 7 to July 14, 2025 and gathered public feedback on design options. Input focused on how designs would impact parking, community access, pedestrian crossings, safety, and cycling comfort. A What We Heard Report and Verbatim Report have been published. The city will use this input along with Phase 1 feedback to finalize designs, with final options to be revealed in early 2026.
