Main Street and Peck Street Reconstruction Design

Closed Community Planning Housing & Communities Transportation
Cambridge is redesigning a 1.1 km stretch of Main Street and Peck Street. The project includes new storm sewers, watermains, sanitary sewers, road resurfacing, and a new multi-use trail on the north side of Main Street.

Why This Matters

Live on Main Street or Peck Street? This construction will affect your daily commute and access to your home. The new multi-use trail could make walking and cycling safer in the area.

What Could Change

The city will replace aging underground infrastructure including storm sewers, watermains, and sanitary sewers. A new multi-use trail will be built on the north side of Main Street, changing how pedestrians and cyclists use the corridor.

Key Issues

  • What should the design of the reconstructed roadway look like?
  • How should the new multi-use trail be integrated?

How to Participate

  1. The online survey has now closed. An in-person Public Information Centre was held on February 12th at City Hall.
