Why This Matters
Live in southwest Winnipeg? This will be your neighbourhood's new recreation hub. The campus will include gyms, fitness areas, and multi-purpose rooms. If you wanted a say in what activities and programs it offers, that window has closed—but your neighbours' input shaped the design.
What Could Change
A new recreation campus will be built at Bison Run School area. It will include gymnasiums, multi-purpose rooms, and fitness areas. Council added $23 million to the budget in May 2024 to cover rising construction costs. The facility opens in late 2027, with future phases to be determined.

What Happened
Two phases of public engagement have been completed. Phase 1 (November-December 2022) gathered input on priorities through workshops and surveys. Phase 2 (March 2025) collected feedback on the building design through an open house and survey. Feedback from both phases has been incorporated into the final design. The project is now in the 'Finalize design' stage, with construction expected to start in spring 2026.
