Dearness Drive Infrastructure Renewal - Road, Water, and Sewer Upgrades

Official title: Dearness Drive Infrastructure Renewal Project

Open Community Planning Housing & Communities Transportation
London is rebuilding Dearness Drive from Bradley Avenue to Wellington Road in 2026. The aging underground pipes need replacing. You'll get new water mains, storm sewers, sidewalks, bike lanes, and fresh asphalt. Some trees will come down, but replacements are planned.

Why This Matters

Live on Dearness Drive? Your street is getting torn up next year. Expect dust, noise, and service interruptions during construction. The upside? New pipes mean fewer water main breaks and better drainage. You'll also get sidewalks and bike lanes where there weren't any before.

What Could Change

Water services will be replaced up to your property line. Your private drain connection may be partially replaced too. The road will get curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and bike lanes—changing how you access your driveway. One tree at 1120 Wellington Road is slated for removal.

Key Issues

  • How will construction affect access to my property?
  • What changes will be made to my water and sewer connections?
  • Which trees will be removed and when will replacements be planted?
