Beaver Creek Road and Conservation Drive Reconstruction
The City of Waterloo is planning to reconstruct and urbanize two roads in the city's west end. Beaver Creek Road (from north of Laurelwood Drive to Conservation Drive) and Conservation Drive (from Snowcrest Place to Roy Schmidt Road) will be rebuilt. The project is in early stages, with updates to come.
Why This Matters
Live on or near these roads? Construction will affect your daily commute and access to your home. Even if you don't live nearby, these roads connect residential areas—expect detours when work begins.
What Could Change
Both roads would be fully reconstructed with urban standards. That typically means new sidewalks, curbs, storm sewers, and improved drainage. Road closures and detours will be required during construction.
Key Issues
- What are the planned improvements for road infrastructure?
- How will construction affect local residents and traffic?
