Immigration Canada surveyed newcomers about their settlement experiences. They want to know what's working and what isn't in programs that help immigrants adjust to life in Canada. The survey targeted people who became permanent residents in 2017, 2019, 2021, or 2023.

New to Canada? This survey shapes the services you rely on. Language classes, job help, community connections—all could improve based on what newcomers say. Even if you weren't surveyed, the results will affect settlement programs for years to come.
What Could Change
IRCC may redesign its Settlement and Resettlement Assistance Programs based on the feedback. Services that newcomers find unhelpful could be cut or revamped. Programs that work well might get more funding.
